Job Content
- Define an optimal supplier portfolio for 3 years, considering terms, short vs. long-term balance, and tender vs. forecast utilization.
- Establish frame contracts to enable the future supplier portfolio and drive strategic processes with suppliers in cooperation with business units’ sourcing management.
- Maintain comprehensive global and local supplier overviews, assessing production facilities, market positions, and strategies.
- Understand cost drivers for timber producers, analyze supplier performance, and monitor market development.
- Obtain and share information about the European timber market to make informed sourcing decisions.
- Coordinate product development and cost reduction projects with European suppliers and business units’ stakeholders.
- Manage organizational supplier overview and engage with decision-level European counterparts.
- Develop and integrate local suppliers into other business units to increase competition and secure volume options.
- Establish a structured meeting framework with key suppliers/partners, fostering strong relationships and effective communication.
- Develop and maintain partnerships within the European Supplier Program (ESP).
- Drive competitiveness and profitability through optimized sourcing, cost reduction, and supplier performance enhancement.
- Balance volumes among suppliers and markets to secure the most competitive prices and ensure availability for all business units.
