As part of their long-term strategic partnership, HZB and the Zuse-Institut Berlin (ZIB) aim to provide researchers with access to advanced computing infrastructure, data-driven methods, and machine learning. A new Joint Lab focusing on AI-supported simulation, data science, and HPC technologies will support materials research. Additionally, a central competence team will assist researchers and IT specialists in best practices for research data management and reuse.
We seek an enthusiastic individual with interdisciplinary skills to lead this expanding team. The team's consulting services will cover:
The team will focus on designing, developing, and applying HPC and AI research tools, supporting infrastructure acquisition and setup. Services range from simple image analysis to complex big data HPC applications.
This is a fixed-term 5-year contract, with salary based on the collective agreement for the German Public Service (TVöD-Bund).
