Job Description

We are a recruitment agency supporting a leading global renewable energy company in their search for a Senior Grid Connection Expert. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team committed to shaping a sustainable and liveable future.

Our client is a well-established international renewable energy provider specializing in the , storage, and distribution of green energy through wind, solar, biogas, and hydrogen. With over two decades of experience, they are at the forefront of the energy transition, supported by a dedicated team of approximately 1,000 employees worldwide.

The service division of this company ensures the reliable operation of wind energy systems across Europe through maintenance, troubleshooting, and infrastructure upgrades. As a Senior Grid Expert, you will play a key role in designing and managing electrical infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Oversight: Develop and plan electrical network infrastructure, taking full technical responsibility.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Prepare building applications and approval documents while liaising with network operators, certifiers, and other stakeholders.
• Infrastructure Design: Design and calculate electrical network components, including cable routes, compensation systems, protection systems, and energy storage solutions. Perform network studies such as load flow and short-circuit current calculations.
• Grid Connection Concepts: Independently plan and design grid connection concepts, substations, and transformer stations across various voltage levels.
• Project Supervision: Oversee construction projects, coordinate contractors, and manage project acceptance and billing processes.

Candidate Requirements:

• Degree in electrical or energy engineering (or a related qualification).
• Solid professional experience in electrical network planning or project management for infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency with tools like MS Office, AutoCAD, and PowerFactory for network simulation and evaluation.
• Fluency in written and spoken German and English.
• A valid Class B driving license.
• Ideally, experience in project or construction management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
