Job description

Do you see research funding not simply as an administrative process, but as a strategic driver for scientific excellence and institutional growth? Are you motivated by identifying the right funding opportunities, developing competitive proposals, and supporting researchers from the first idea through to successful project completion? Then help us shape the future of clinical AI with us. Our newly established institute brings clinical AI from discovery and validation into routine care and drives AI transformation across the hospital and medical faculty. To support our scientific ambitions, we are looking for an experienced and proactive Grant Manager. In this role, you will oversee the full lifecycle of our grants - from identifying suitable funding opportunities and coordinating competitive proposals to grant management, financial oversight, reporting, and final closeout and audit. You will work across a broad funding landscape, including European programmes such as Horizon Europe, ERC and MSCA, national research councils, government ministries, charitable foundations, and industry partnerships. As the Institute's expert on research funding, you will combine strategic advice with strong knowledge of funding requirements and compliance. You will build trusted relationships with researchers and external funders alike, ensuring that our growing grants portfolio supports the Institute's scientific goals while meeting all institutional, legal, and funder obligations. If you enjoy working at the intersection of science, strategy, funding, and people, and want to play a key role in building the foundations of a growing clinical AI institute, we look forward to hearing from you.

  • Oversee awarded grants throughout their lifecycle, including financial monitoring, amendments, funder communication, and resource allocation
  • Ensure compliance with institutional, legal, and sponsor regulations while preparing high-quality interim and final reports as well as audit-ready documentation
  • Act as the primary advisor for Principal Investigators, delivering funding expertise, training sessions, and portfolio analyses to strengthen long-term funding success
