The Graduate Sales Engineering role is designed for early engineers who want to develop careers in technical sales, applications engineering, and technical marketing. You will benefit from extensive training programs, including training on NI products and related technologies, our sales process, public speaking, instructor skills, and understanding our customers and markets.

We're looking for engineers who thrive in teams and enjoy engaging with customers to discuss complex engineering problems. Applicants should demonstrate resilience and a passion to excel. The successful candidate will show confidence in sharing new ideas and a desire to stay updated with market developments, competitors, customer demands, and new product lines to enhance their technical knowledge, customer understanding, and soft skills.

Responsibilities Include:

  1. Spend initial months in rapid learning, gaining expertise with NI tools and sales processes while supporting customers with their technical challenges.
  2. Partner with an Account Manager to support customer sales requests, provide demos, training, and configurations.
  3. Balance time between inbound sales demand, marketing leads, customer presentations, demos, and prospecting to generate demand and pipeline.
  4. Develop test and measurement expertise for future career growth.
  5. Qualify demand and advance opportunities to Account Managers to drive growth.
  6. Provide coaching and mentorship within the team.
  7. Collaborate with departments such as sales, marketing, technical support, operations, and business units.
  8. Travel to customer sites for training, lunch and learns, and presentations.
  9. Work with partners and distribution channels.
  10. Create a business plan to support business success in your territory, identifying necessary actions and resources.

Candidate Profile:

Maintain contact with customers, build relationships across teams, and listen attentively.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, or Biomedical Engineering.
  • Strong desire for a long-term career in technical sales, marketing, or applications engineering.
  • Solid understanding of electronics, computers, and programming languages (C, Python, LabVIEW, etc.).
  • Willingness to relocate to Paris (FR) or Milan (IT) for a minimum of years.
  • Open to relocating elsewhere in Europe if needed.
  • Available for moderate travel.
  • Effective communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional European language skills.
