The Graduate Sales Engineering role is designed for early engineers who want to develop careers in technical sales, applications engineering, and technical marketing. You will benefit from extensive training programs, including training on NI products and related technologies, our sales process, public speaking, instructor skills, and insights into our customers and markets.

We're looking for engineers who thrive in teams and enjoy engaging with customers to discuss complex engineering problems. Applicants should demonstrate resilience and a passion to excel. The successful candidate will be confident in sharing new ideas and committed to staying updated with market developments, competitors, customer demands, and new product lines to enhance their technical knowledge, customer understanding, and soft skills.

Responsibilities in this Role Include:

  1. Spend the first 6 months in rapid learning, gaining expertise with NI tools and our sales process while supporting NI customers with their technical challenges.
  2. After 6 months, partner with an Account Manager to support customer sales requests, provide demos, training, and configurations.
  3. Balance your time between inbound sales demand, marketing-generated leads, customer presentations, demos, and prospecting activities to generate new demand and pipeline.
  4. Develop test and measurement expertise to prepare for your future career.
  5. Qualify demand and advance opportunities to Account Managers to drive growth.
  6. Provide coaching and mentorship within the team.
  7. Collaborate with various departments at NI, including sales, marketing, technical support, operations, and business units.
  8. Travel to customer sites for training courses, lunch and learns, and product presentations.
  9. Work with our partners and distribution channels.
  10. Create a business plan to drive success in your territory, identifying actions and resources needed to achieve business outcomes.

Qualifications and Personal Attributes:

You maintain contact with customers, build relationships across teams, and listen attentively to others.

Requirements for This Role:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical, or Biomedical Engineering.
  • A strong desire to pursue a long-term career in technical sales, marketing, or applications engineering.
  • Solid understanding of electronics, computers, and high-level programming languages (C, Python, LabVIEW, etc.).
  • Ability to relocate to Paris (FR) or Milan (IT) for at least 2 years.
  • Willingness to relocate elsewhere in Europe if needed.
  • Availability for moderate travel.
  • Proficiency in English and effective communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of additional European languages.
