The Generali Operations Service Platform (GOSP) supports the Generali Group in optimizing its digital services, service quality, and creating synergies. GOSP utilizes common technology platforms for the Group. As a joint venture, Accenture provides expertise to support transformation, innovation, and scaling. GOSP develops solutions for digitalization and the implementation of a cloud-centric model. It includes IT infrastructure procurement and security operations, among other functions.

About the job

GOSP - Generali Operations Service Platform is a joint venture between Generali and Accenture, providing IT and procurement services to Generali Group companies. Our goal is to accelerate the Group's innovation and digitization strategy through cloud and shared platforms. Based in Italy, GOSP has 5 branches across Europe and employs approximately 1,000 people.

We are seeking a Network Security Expert (m/f/d) to strengthen the Perimeter Security group and enhance the network security posture of the Generali Group. The primary location will be Aachen.

The Perimeter Security group is responsible for protecting the European Generali Group from external and internal threats. It provides advisory services and operates central security solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing systems, operating concepts, and cost estimates for central security solutions and implementing them
• Operating internet proxies and implementing customer and security requirements (e.g., whitelisting/blacklisting, authorization management)
• Provisioning, operating, and developing the public DNS platform
• Managing IPS solutions, configuring rules and policies, analyzing logs, and optimizing protection (including web application firewalls and false positive analysis)

Additional responsibilities:

• Ensuring the safe operation and continuous optimization of implemented solutions, performing maintenance
• Protecting European data centers from DDoS attacks
• Supporting GOSP's CSIRT team in incident analysis and resolution

Candidate profile:

• University degree in Business Informatics, Information Technology, or a comparable qualification
• Over 5 years of experience in IT security
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure (routing, switching, firewalls) and IPv4/IPv6
• In-depth knowledge of Tufin, WAF, and IPS technologies
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or Bash (desirable)
• Familiarity with Netskope Proxy and Infoblox DNS (desirable)
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills, quick learner
• Independent, detail-oriented work style with a focus on essentials
• Fluent in English and German (at least B2); Italian is a plus
