Global Strategic Procurement Manager (m/f/d)

Olympus Winter & Ibe GmbH (OWI)

Chief Manufacturing and Supply Officer - limited to 16 months

Your Responsibilities

• Define key sourcing strategies aligned with Olympus business requirements to be socialized and executed across the global procurement team for production materials and externally manufactured finished goods, including risk management.
• Develop strong partnerships with key business stakeholders and global procurement team members.
• Collaborate closely with the global procurement organization to support defined strategies.
• Manage sourcing, supplier selection, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
• Identify and select suppliers early, working closely with the Advanced Sourcing team.
• Manage supplier relationships (SRM), performance, and development.
• Develop and execute a cost improvement pipeline for Olympus’s third-party direct spend.
• Continuously improve material and service costs.
• Enhance global Category Management and Advanced Sourcing processes through continuous improvements.

Your Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related discipline; MBA or equivalent preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in international strategic procurement within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading and participating in cross-functional and/or global teams, with a proven track record of strategic initiatives and problem-solving.
• Experience managing an international supply base is essential.
• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to understand diverse stakeholder needs (e.g., Business, R&D, Quality, Operations, Suppliers).
• Fluency in English.
