Join our global team as a Global Project Logistics Operations Manager and play a pivotal role in shaping and executing Kuehne+Nagel's operational strategy within the Project Logistics business unit. As part of the Global Operations Management Team, you will help drive our mission to lead the Project Logistics market through operational excellence, innovation, and structured collaboration across our worldwide network. Your role is key in ensuring streamlined execution, continuous improvement, and long-term value creation for our customers and internal stakeholders.

YOUR ROLE

As a Global Project Logistics Operations Manager, you will act as the strategic operational point of contact for a group of countries, aligning internal and external stakeholders across regions. You'll lead operational initiatives from mapping to execution, support onboarding and implementation processes, and work cross-functionally to optimize tools, training, and standards across global operations. Through your leadership, you will foster a culture of collaboration, performance, and continuous improvement.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and execute global operational strategies, initiatives, and improvement projects within Project Logistics.
• Map, standardize, and optimize processes across national teams while guiding implementation and training efforts.
• Establish and monitor operational KPIs, ensuring alignment with agreed targets and best-in-class service delivery.
• Support global customer implementations and ensure seamless onboarding and visibility for new projects.
• Drive cost optimization through process improvement, waste elimination, and strategic outsourcing initiatives.
• Act as operational manager/support for a defined cluster of countries, collaborating closely with national and corporate stakeholders.
• Facilitate workshops, approve SOPs/WIs, and guide teams through performance and operational excellence programs.
• Maintain oversight of all Global Service Teams, ensuring tool transparency, consistent execution, and continuous enhancement of solutions.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

• Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in logistics operations, project management, or a related discipline-ideally within Project Logistics.
• Strong background in process improvement, operational excellence, and cross-border stakeholder collaboration.
• Proven experience in managing multi-national operations and leading workshops or training programs.
• Solid understanding of logistics tools, performance metrics (KPIs), and operational systems.
• High level of ownership, analytical thinking, and results orientation.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English; additional languages (e.g., German, Spanish, etc.) are a plus.
• Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
