Job summary

Döhler, a leading global producer of natural ingredients, is seeking a Global Project Engineer to drive digital transformation and OT initiatives on the shopfloor from Darmstadt on-site.

You will work with production, engineering, IT, and business stakeholders to identify opportunities, prototype solutions, and deliver scalable digital projects across our global network. Fluent English required; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Automation, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven track record delivering digitalization projects end-to-end in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on commissioning experience and understanding of shopfloor operations.
• Strong technical affinity with practical coding (Python, APIs, IIoT) to rapidly develop and implement solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver high-impact digital transformation projects on the shopfloor from concept to global rollout.
• Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing performance and translate them into scalable digital solutions.
• Prototype, test, validate, and industrialize innovative solutions across the global production network.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and digital solutions, define pilots, and build strong business cases for investments.
• Leverage AI-supported development approaches to accelerate innovation and implement concepts into operation.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful execution.
• Drive change and adoption by communicating goals, progress, and results to stakeholders.

Your Role

• Lead and deliver high-impact digital transformation projects on the shopfloor from concept toglobal rollout
• Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing performance and translate them intoscalable digital solutions
• Prototype, test, validate, and industrialize innovative solutions across our global productionnetwork
• Evaluate emerging technologies and digital solutions, define pilot initiatives, and build strongbusiness cases to support investment decisions
• Leverage modern AI-supported development approaches to accelerate innovation, validateideas quickly, and bring successful concepts into operation
• Collaborate closely with production, engineering, IT, and business stakeholders to ensurealignment, transparency, and successful project execution
• Drive change and adoption by effectively communicating project goals, progress, andresults to all relevant stakeholders.

Your Profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Automation, Industrial Engineering, or a relatedfield
• Proven track record of successfully delivering digitalization projects end-to-end in amanufacturing environment
• Hands-on commissioning experience and a solid understanding of shopfloor operations andproduction realities
• Strong technical affinity with practical coding experience (e.g., Python, APIs, IIoT) to rapidlydevelop and implement solutions
• Passion for digital technologies, innovation, and solving real-world industrial challenges
• Strong ownership mindset with the drive to take initiative and make things happen
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across different functions andorganizational levels
• Fluent in English; German language skills are an advantage
