The mission of the Global Product Manager Automation is to build a competitive and profitable solution that meets our customer needs and business goals.

This position will contribute to the development of the Division and the assigned business segment of automation through active collaboration with Customer Centers, the automation team in Darmstadt, and key customers. The focus is on promoting our solutions and added value, building competence, and continuously collaborating with R&D to initiate new products and solutions.

Success is measured in revenues, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

The role reports to the Business Manager Maintenance Services.

Main responsibilities include:

  1. Drive, manage, and coordinate the product portfolio to ensure sustainable profitable growth and a leading market position.
  2. Develop strategies to grow the business segment in alignment with overall strategic directions.
  3. Identify market needs and trends, and develop business cases with Customer Centers for new product development as part of Strategic Product Planning (SPP).
  4. Understand customer needs and actively participate in the Product Development Process (PDP).
  5. Plan and execute successful product launches.
  6. Create and share marketing materials about the business segment, including products, application references, and competition, and promote content through digital channels.
  7. Develop and conduct trainings, seminars, and workshops to enhance organizational knowledge and competence.
  8. Drive communication and collaborate actively with Customer Centers and key accounts.
  9. Work cross-functionally and collaborate closely with Customers Centers, Global Key Account Managers, Application Centers, Marketing Communications, and other marketing teams within ITBA (GI/MVI/IAS/MVS).

Your profile:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering and/or marketing.
  • Solid experience in global product and/or business segment management.
  • Understanding of marketing and business development.
  • Ability to explore, create, and communicate customer value.
  • Experience in project management and cross-functional teamwork.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both speaking and writing.
