We’re hiring for a Global Media Effectiveness Director as part of iProspect Global, based in Munich (part time hybrid option).

Purpose of the Role

We are seeking a senior leader in media effectiveness to drive the strategic development and implementation of robust measurement, testing, and optimization frameworks for a global, innovative automotive client. This individual will collaborate closely with client stakeholders, media and data specialists, and regional teams to embed a culture of insight-driven decision-making across the organization. The role plays a critical part in influencing media investment strategy, championing change management around measurement maturity, and building scalable effectiveness practices that connect marketing performance to business growth.

Role Overview

As a Global Media Effectiveness Director, you will be accountable for the delivery of media measurement strategies that guide performance optimization and organizational learning. This role requires a proven ability to shape learning agendas, experimentation initiatives, build business cases for media investment and drive adoption across global and regional teams. You will partner cross-functionally to champion innovation in measurement, ensure methodological rigor, and lead the integration of insights into marketing and media planning cycles. This is a highly visible and strategic role, ideal for a seasoned professional ready to lead transformation in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of global effectiveness frameworks aligned to full-funnel KPIs—from brand awareness and engagement to pipeline impact and customer value.
  • Shape and operationalize strategic learning agendas that prioritize measurement questions tied to business outcomes, and influence annual testing plans accordingly.
  • Build compelling methodologies to create business cases for recommended media investment
  • Oversee performance synthesis across digital and offline channels to derive strategic insights and optimization recommendations.
  • Drive adoption of measurement best practices across regional and local teams through capability-building, governance models, and change enablement support.
  • Partner with clients, partners, platform specialists and data science teams to design and deploy rigorous measurement techniques—including A/B testing, geo-experiments, MMM, and brand lift studies.
  • Collaborate with data and technology teams to ensure the integration and adoption of effectiveness tools within dentsu’s operating system
  • Stay at the forefront of media measurement innovation, bringing thought leadership on evolving methodologies, new partnership opportunities, privacy implications, and performance frameworks.
  • Lead and support a small team of direct and indirect team members.
Qualifications And Skills
  • Significant experience in media effectiveness, marketing analytics, or data strategy within a global agency, consultancy, or client-side environment.
  • Deep understanding of media performance metrics across the entire marketing funnel and their connection to commercial outcomes (e.g., CAC, LTV, ROAS, NPS, brand equity).
  • Proven success in leading multi-market measurement transformation initiatives and driving stakeholder alignment across global organizations.
  • Strong strategic thinking and storytelling capabilities—able to translate complex datasets into clear business narratives and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience with change management, capability building, and scaling measurement maturity across diverse teams and geographies.
  • Experience with tools such as SQL, Power BI, LookerStudio, Tableau, and statistical software (e.g., R, Python) is a strong advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of platforms such as GA4, DV360, Nielsen, Meta Ads Manager, and advanced measurement methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and leadership skills with a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset.
