As Global Lead Buyer for Capex, Technics and Energy, you will be responsible for managing the procurement of capital expenditures across our global operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute sourcing strategies that optimize cost, quality, and delivery for capital projects. Your expertise will be crucial in establishing relationships with key suppliers and ensuring compliance with corporate policies and procedures.

Your role:

1. Development and implementation of local, regional, and global sourcing strategies ensuring alignment with business objectives.
2. Analyze and monitor international sourcing markets, evaluate and communicate market specifics.
3. Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance teams to identify and prioritize projects.
4. Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure best-in-class service and pricing.
5. Development of Supplier Network, selection of suppliers, and identifying synergies in the supply network to bring efficiencies for Döhler.
6. Provide training and support to local procurement teams to enhance their capabilities.
7. Monitor market trends and supplier performance to inform strategic decision-making.
8. Optimize processes via digitalization in cooperation with Sourcing Excellence.
9. Ensure compliance with corporate policies and sustainability initiatives.
10. Point of contact for escalation issues.
11. Leadership of 3-4 FTE and dotted-line to counterparts in the regions.

Your profile:

1. Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
2. Minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on Capex, Technics, and Energy expenditures.
3. Proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and negotiation.
4. Strong analytical skills and experience with procurement software and tools.
5. Experience managing senior stakeholders and different cultures.
6. Experience managing a team in that area.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
9. Willingness to travel as needed.
