Responsibilities
- Retain assigned top customers and nurture key relationships over time.
- Become a strategic partner and advisor to clients, discovering new opportunities for mutual benefit and supporting growth targets.
- Work closely with various Connectivity & Products locations, business departments, and stakeholders to maintain and expand business with significant clients.
- Identify potential new clients within the Hardlines industry, develop a network of contacts, research market opportunities, and oversee growth projects.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop plans for the growth of assigned Hardlines accounts, focusing on increasing share of wallet.
- Engage in strategic planning, sales management, and prospecting for new clients.
- Support the implementation of global business strategies to develop new Hardlines business streams in collaboration with international colleagues.
- Meet international reporting requirements and contribute as a member of the global Hardlines team.
- Participate actively in the Europe Hardlines team, building internal and external relationships, and sharing market intelligence.
- Adopt safe working behaviors, ensuring health and safety for yourself and others.
- Comply with SGS’s Code of Integrity & Professional Conduct and promote equality and diversity policies.
Qualifications
Applicants should submit an English CV and meet the following:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, social sciences, sustainability, or related fields.
- Understanding of international Hardlines business (DIY, Toys, Juveniles) and experience in retail or specialized retail markets, including industry standards and regulations.
- Experience in customer-facing roles and business development or sales.
- Fluency in English and German.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Desirable
- Knowledge of SGS’s international structures and activities.
- Understanding of SGS Hardlines activities.
