About the role

As a Global Key Account Manager, you will lead, develop, win, and maintain business with strategic automotive accounts, achieving Key Sales KPIs and Account Plan targets.

You will play a key role in creating, implementing, and driving the account strategy for major divisional customers within the customer base and across DS Smith.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  1. Proactively managing the account to retain incumbent business and prevent sales leakage;
  2. Winning tenders on incumbent business, delivering and aligning tender strategies in collaboration with stakeholders in sales, finance, marketing, ventures, legal, etc.;
  3. Securing new business in new segments and developing new value-added offers within the key customers and their segments;
  4. Executing on new wins by nurturing the account, delivering innovative solutions, and embedding DS Smith in the account for long-term growth;
  5. Managing the Division Key Account Plan and ensuring profitability of the key accounts;
  6. Ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty, improving customer experience, and identifying opportunities in the supply chain to enhance efficiency and reduce costs through innovative solutions.
About you

Qualified to degree level (or equivalent experience);

Strong business acumen, commercial experience, and proven results in driving sales growth, developing, and executing account strategies at a divisional level;

Ability to navigate a complex global matrix environment;

Proven capability to analyze financial insights and initiate appropriate actions;

A resilient, entrepreneurial, and persuasive change agent with excellent communication, networking, and stakeholder management skills;

Fluent in written and spoken German and English; additional European languages are advantageous;

Previous experience in the packaging industry is preferred but not required.

Remote, based in Germany; approximately 40% travel required.
