Munich Re is seeking a Global Specialist Employee and Travel Security based in Munich. The role focuses on designing and strengthening global governance for employee and travel security, with harmonized standards, tools, and processes across regions.

You will manage external security providers globally and define travel risk models, escalation mechanisms, and a future-proof outsourcing strategy. Collaboration with HR, Compliance, Risk Management and Corporate Security is essential.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Security Management, Crisis Management, Business Continuity or related discipline.
• Experience in executive protection or security operations.
• Strong risk assessment and travel security framework knowledge.
• Willingness to travel internationally.

• Provide up-to-date intelligence, travel advisories, and risk insights in a dynamic global environment

The Munich Re Global Real Estate and Services division sets the direction for the management of all aspects of corporate real estate and employee services across the regions for Munich Re offices.

Global Corporate Security is responsible for the protection of employees, sites and assets worldwide. The department works closely with integrated risk management, the business units and the regional organizations of Real Estate and Services to develop and implement risk-based measures and procedures and monitor their effectiveness.

Within the newly established department we are looking for a Global Specialist Employee and Travel Security based in Munich.

Your Job

• Design and strengthen the global governance framework for employee and travel security
• Establish harmonized standards, tools, and processes across regions
• Manage and further develop external security providers at a global level
• Define approval processes, travel risk models, and escalation mechanisms
• Ensure a consistent and future-proof provider and outsourcing strategy
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders across HR, Compliance, Risk Management and Corporate Security
• Act as a trusted advisor during incidents and crisis situations affecting employees and operations
• Drive continuous improvement through post-incident analysis and lessons learned
• Support global awareness initiatives and build capabilities in travel and employee security
• Provide up-to-date intelligence, travel advisories, and risk insights in a dynamic global environment

Your Profile

• Degree in Security Management, Crisis Management, Business Continuity, Business Administration, or a comparable discipline
• Relevant professional experience gained in executive protection, security operations or a related field
• Strong understanding of risk assessment and travel security frameworks
• Experience conducting protective intelligence and advance planning for travel and events
• High level of precision, reliability, and responsibility
• Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented working style
• Strong communication skills across teams, cultures, and seniority levels
• Ability to remain calm and effective in dynamic or challenging situations
• Willingness to travel internationally
• Strong professional proficiency in German and English
