Munich Re’s Casualty Risk Consulting seeks an experienced consultant to analyze and evaluate liability risks, guiding risk management and supporting diverse client portfolios on a global scale.

You will assess complex liability risks, review risk-management activities, participate in audits, and contribute to ongoing service development while engaging in international seminars and travel as needed.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in an engineering or natural science discipline.
• Good knowledge of general liability, with more than 5 years of work experience in the assessment of liability risks.
• Outstanding analytical skills, ability to familiarize yourself with new topics quickly.
• Affinity for legal topics; good judgement and common sense.
• Business-fluent English and German; additional languages are advantageous.
• High degree of service orientation; pronounced intercultural skills.
• Strong social skills and ability to work in a team.
• Clear, well-structured communication, even on very complex topics; good presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel.

• Speaking and presenting at international seminars, meetings, and congresses, conveying Munich Re’s expertise, leading publications/workgroups.
• Carrying out site inspections or meetings to develop recommendations for risk improvement or risk management.

Casualty Risk Consulting (CRC) is a center of expertise providing technical and scientific services with a (re)insurance background in connection with complex and highly exposed liability risks. CRC’s globally recognized services are tailored to the situation and the customer’s needs. Our clients are the underwriters (facultative, treaty, direct) and client managers at Munich Re as well as ceding companies.

We are looking for an experienced consultant who is able to analyze and evaluate a variety of liability risks, including general liability for global corporations.

Your Job

• Assessing complex liability risks, including guiding and supporting (as a sparring partner) the evaluation and management of these risks, depending on the cover provided (single risks, risk categories, or portfolios/treaties)
• Evaluating cedents’ risk-management activities (risk selection, pricing, risk assessment), also by participating in audits
• Screening developments in the relevant fields of expertise to detect and report on interesting trends and emerging risks (internally and externally)
• Constantly improving, adapting and newly developing services in line with potentially changing client needs or a changing environment (technical, legal) in the respective field of expertise
• Speaking/presenting at international seminars, meetings, and congresses, conveying Munich Re’s distinct expertise, participating in or leading publications and workgroups
• Carrying out site inspections or participating in meetings to develop recommendations for risk improvement or improved risk management (for cedents or insureds)
