As Global Claims Practice Leader, you will collaborate closely with the Energy Transition, GCUO, and Underwriting teams, as well as other Practice Leaders, playing a pivotal role in managing complex claims, analyzing portfolio trends, and sharing lessons learned.

You will be part of the Claims Practice Community, sharing insights across products and geographies. The role involves working with key stakeholders including local Underwriting Managers for Energy Transition, the Actuarial team, and Claims Management.

You will be based preferably in the UK or Germany, with a hybrid working model combining remote and office work.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

1. Monitoring a portfolio of large and complex losses in Energy Transition to promote best practices and ensure compliance with protocols, providing insights into emerging risks and trends.
2. Serving as a technical point of reference for regional teams handling Energy Transition claims, collaborating on large loss management and portfolio monitoring.
3. Ensuring claims handling compliance with the Large Loss Framework, leading review meetings, and driving accurate reserving.
4. Acting as a stakeholder for Energy transition leads and as a strategic partner to various teams for accurate reporting and analysis.
5. Collaborating on processes related to coverage analysis, investigation, evaluation, reserving, and resolution of claims.
6. Creating and leading an Energy Transition Claims community to share knowledge and facilitate training, engaging with other Practice leaders.
7. Building and maintaining an external network of experts for claims support and training.
8. Assessing high severity claims across jurisdictions, determining strategies and action plans.
9. Serving as a strategic partner to Underwriting Managers and reserving actuaries, providing post-loss analysis and guidance.
10. Developing ET Claims Lessons Learned, Claims Data, and Trends analysis to share with stakeholders.

You will report to the Global Claims Practice Leader, Property Construction & Energy.

We’re looking for someone with these skills and abilities:

• Claims experience in Energy Transition (solar, wind, bioenergy, etc.), including handling complex claims and knowledge of litigation and regulatory issues.
• Legal and regulatory knowledge across jurisdictions.
• Market knowledge of various regions including the UK, Americas, APAC, and Europe.
• High dedication to customer service, professionalism, and diplomacy.
• Ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders and work collaboratively, including in virtual teams.
• Supportive and encouraging of colleagues and emerging talent.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
• Results-oriented with proactive task management and prioritization skills.
• Focus on continuous improvement and eagerness to learn.
• Fluent in English; additional European language skills (French or German) are desirable.
