A fast-growing specialty chemicals company is seeking a Global Business Manager to lead its new international business unit. This role requires strategic leadership, market analysis expertise, and the ability to build a high-performing team across multiple regions, including Europe and Southeast Asia.

The Client Company isa fast-growing specialty chemicals company dedicated to delivering innovative solutions across multiple industries. Our product portfolio serves diverse downstream markets, including plastic additives, wire & cable, coatings, inks, adhesives, and rubber. As we expand globally, we are seeking a dynamicGlobal Business Managerto lead our newly established international business unit and drive strategic growth in key regions.
TheGlobal Business Managerwill be responsible for developing and executing the international business strategy, identifying market opportunities, and building a high-performing global team to expand our footprint Globally(inlcuding Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and other target regions). This role requires deep market knowledge, strong leadership, and the ability to drive revenue growth while fostering cross-functional collaboration.
1. Strategy Development & Market Expansion
Define and implement the global business strategy for the new division, aligning with company objectives.
Conduct market analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning in target regions.
Develop market-entry strategies and prioritize high-potential segments (e.g., plastic additives, coatings, adhesives).
Establish partnerships, distributors, and key account relationships to accelerate growth.
2. Business Development & Sales Leadership
Drive revenue growth by targeting downstream industries,and expanding the customer base.
Lead negotiations for large contracts, joint ventures, or strategic alliances.
Monitor global market dynamics, regulatory changes, and competitor activities to adapt strategies.
3. Team Building & Leadership
Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing international sales and business development team.
Foster a collaborative culture across regions, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
Provide coaching and performance management to achieve KPIs.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with R&D, production, and supply chain teams to tailor solutions for regional needs.
Collaborate with marketing to develop region-specific campaigns and branding strategies.
Ensure seamless coordination between HQ and regional teams.
5. Financial & Operational Excellence
Set and manage budgets, forecasts, and P&L for the international business unit.
Monitor sales pipelines, profitability, and ROI on market initiatives.
Implement best practices for customer service and operational efficiency.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
Experience:
10+ years in global business development, sales, or marketing within thespecialty chemicalsindustry.
Proven track record in managing international markets (Europe, Middle East, Asia).
Deep understanding of downstream markets (e.g., plastics, coatings, adhesives, rubber, inks, agro, etc.).
Experience building and leading remote/global teams.
