Role Title: Global AFR Market & Business Analytics Manager

Job Purpose:

Management of AFR innovation projects and strategic initiatives driven out of the Global Head Office to support global AFR steering by integrating available intelligence sources and through the development and maintenance of tools, databases, and systems. Conduct holistic external market analyses; manage external vendor relationships to ensure quality data for DHL. Grow market intelligence by managing vendors and increasing external market know-how; educate internal and external customers on market trends and guide them on suitable supply chain needs. Represent AFR in public or internal forums on company topics and market outlook.

Principal Accountabilities:

1. Develop and enhance data analytics for Global AFR. Manage AFR Reporting and Data Analytics Strategy: Contribute to the development of an overall AFR reporting and data analytics strategy, aligning reporting initiatives with the broader goals and objectives of AFR.
2. Own AFR market data, vendor management, and related publications/webinars (State of the Industry, quarterly webinars). Be the go-to person for questions linked to AFR external market knowledge, indices, data availability, updates, and reports. Collaborate with Market Champs to create standardized market reports and regional reports for customers. Create and publish AFR SOTI (State of the Industry) to internal and external stakeholders/platforms. Mentor GSC team members to develop logistics know-how and develop the AFR Intelligence hub. Maintain relationships with data vendors and ensure data quality.
3. Manage FSC during RFQ and post-implementation stages. Monitor crude oil/jet fuel price fluctuations, analyze financial market impacts, and study airlines’ behavior and FSC updates. Develop and maintain simplified fuel surcharge methodologies for global RFQs, evaluating risk and exposure on customer requirements for FSC topics.
4. Customer Facing Events:
1. Keynote speaker in global webinars to impart market trends.
2. Guide customers with market know-how and supply chain strategies.
3. Attend business review meetings as the market expert to share trends and insights.
4. Comply with logistics-relevant media for interviews and quotes.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

1. Expertise in Reporting: Deep knowledge in reporting tools and the DGF data landscape.
2. Problem solving/data analytics: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
3. Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
4. Strategic Thinking: Contributes to the development of an overall AFR reporting and steering strategy.
5. Good understanding of airfreight market trends and a strong network in the forwarding industry.
6. Drives user-centric report development.
7. Organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
8. Advanced in PowerPoint, Excel, and BI tools (Power BI, Qlik).
9. Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
10. Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Transportation, or related field.
11. 5+ years in logistics and 2+ years in data analytics.
