Senior Software Developer (m/f/d)

What you will do

• Develop, optimize, and maintain software solutions for our metering systems, focusing on Python and Java Spring Boot.
• Design and implement scalable, maintainable software architectures that are future-proof.
• Collaborate in an agile, cross-functional team with developers, product owners, system engineers, and external partners.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs and microservices for efficient data processing and analysis.
• Ensure software quality through automated testing (unit, integration, end-to-end).
• Handle large measurement and energy data sets to develop energy management solutions and optimize smart meter processes.
• Analyze consumption data using machine learning models to optimize metering processes.
• Implement industry-specific requirements and ensure compliance with legal standards.

Your experience and knowledge

• Several years of experience in software development with Python and Java Spring Boot.
• Deep knowledge of software architecture, scalable systems, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Experience with event-driven communication and asynchronous processes, e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, MQTT.
• Proficiency with SQL, NoSQL databases, and cloud technologies.
• Experience with automated testing tools like Pytest, JUnit, Selenium, or Postman.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong team and communication skills, solution-oriented mindset, and a proactive approach to responsibilities and innovations.
• Knowledge of data processing and analysis; basic understanding of machine learning algorithms is advantageous.
• Industry experience in energy is a plus but not required.
