About us:

Stegra is on a mission to disrupt the global steel industry by producing green steel, with the end goal of bringing down CO2emissions to zero. By using green hydrogen and fossil-free electricity instead of coal; water and heat will be our primary emissions. By 2030, our ambition is to produce 5 million tonnes of green steel annually in our fully integrated, digitalized, and sustainable plant in Boden, located in northern Sweden - currently in construction phase. But this is just the beginning – our expertise in green hydrogen will enable us to decarbonize other industries in addition to steel, and we look forward to what’s next in store for us.

Customer Technical Services Representative

In this role you will serve as the primary technical contact for our German speaking clients in the iron and steel industry, focusing on green steel products and sustainability initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Customer support and problem solving
  • New steel grade development
  • Process and system development for new facility
  • Green steel & sustainability consultation
  • Cross functional collaboration
  • Continuous improvement and reporting
  • Technical training and education

Qualifications:

  • Native German speaker
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English
  • Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical and Materials Science Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years in quality and technical support within the iron and steel production sector
  • Experience in feasibility studies and customer trials (homologation) for new steel grade development
  • Proficiency in digital tools for technical support
  • Strong problem solving skills, particularly in technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis methods
  • Knowledge of industry standards and familiarity with green steel and sustainability practices
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, adapting to dynamic work environments
