Job summary

Ignite in Frankfurt am Main seeks a Credit Control Assistant (m/f/d) to join the Finance team. You will manage master data in SAP, monitor credit limits with insurers, and support collections to ensure timely receivables while maintaining strict data accuracy.

The role requires 2+ years in credit control and fluent German and English. Hybrid work (2 days WFH / 3 days in-office) applies, with a dedicated finance team focusing on risk mitigation and reporting.

Qualifications

• Must have completed commercial vocational training / apprenticeship (kaufmännische Berufsausbildung).
• Minimum of 2 years hands‑on experience in credit control, credit management, accounts receivable, or a related finance role.
• Fluent German (C1) and Fluent English (C1) for international communication.
• Solid working knowledge of MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong numerical fluency, attention to detail and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Create, update and maintain customer and supplier master data in SAP, with data integrity checks.

Position Overview

We are seeking an organized, accurate, and proactive Credit Control Assistant (m/f/d) to join our dedicated 5-member Finance team in Frankfurt am Main.

You will take ownership of maintaining essential master data, coordinating with external credit insurers, monitoring customer credit limits, and ensuring that our receivables are collected efficiently and within strict deadlines. Key Responsibilities & Core Tasks

• Master Data Management & Administration: Accurately create, update, and maintain customer and supplier master data in SAP in strict compliance with internal policies and quality standards; perform routine audits to ensure continuous data integrity across financial systems.
• Credit Limit & Insurance Management: Liaise directly with trade credit insurance partners to secure, review, and maintain optimal credit insurance coverage; establish, adjust, and monitor credit limits for customers and suppliers based on risk guidelines and insurer recommendations.
• Accounts Receivable & Risk Mitigation: Support the clarification, monitoring, and collection of overdue customer receivables in a professional and firm manner; coordinate closely with sales and customer service teams to resolve payment discrepancies early.
• Financial Reporting & Compliance: Prepare regular internal credit control reports tracking key receivables metrics and risk exposures; conduct monthly inventory reviews and compile comprehensive reports to support working capital tracking; monitor company-wide adherence to internal credit policies.

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Education: Successfully completed commercial vocational training / apprenticeship (kaufmännische Berufsausbildung).
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on experience in credit control, credit management, accounts receivable, or a closely related commercial finance role.
• Language Proficiency: Fluent German (C1 level) and Fluent English (C1 level), written and spoken, for smooth communication with international partners and internal teams.
• IT Skills: Solid working knowledge of the standard MS Office suite (specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
• Core Competencies & Work Style: Strong numerical fluency, high attention to detail, clear communication, assertiveness, and a self‑motivated, dependable approach to deadline‑driven financial procedures.
