As a Senior Preconstruction Manager, you will be part of the Design and Construction team within AMZ Global Engineering services, shaping the future of the Construction Industry. We focus on safety, people, and sustainability.

This role offers opportunities to travel and work across multiple countries and cultures, with 30% travel within Europe and EMEA.

Key job responsibilities

1. Manage complex, cross-functional industrial projects from site selection through design, permitting, and contract execution, coordinating with design teams and stakeholders.
2. Control project scope, drive decisions, identify blockers, and escalate issues as needed.
3. Communicate effectively, assess risks, influence outcomes, and oversee service providers.
4. Perform pricing reviews, negotiate costs, and manage budgeting, scheduling, and forecasting.
5. Supervise safety programs and standards.
6. Negotiate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, with proven experience in project management from design to operation.
• Experience with packaging processing/logistics facilities or similar.
• Fluent in German and English.
• Willingness to travel frequently across Europe.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, or business administration.
• Experience in multiple construction disciplines and managing multidisciplinary design projects.
• Knowledge of BIM and experience with Amazon's new FC launches preferred.
• Additional language skills (French, Polish, Arabic) are advantageous.

Each day, you will ensure the timely and budget-conscious execution of Amazon construction projects, lead and mentor teams, and communicate effectively with all stakeholders. Responsibilities include contract negotiations, site validation, due diligence, risk analysis, and compliance with zoning, fire, and building codes. You will act as the primary escalation point for project feasibility and issue resolution.
