Are you eager to be part of a team responsible for developing, designing, and constructing innovative logistics projects across EMEA countries? As a Senior Preconstruction Manager, you will be part of the Design and Construction team within AMZ Global Engineering services, shaping the future of the construction industry with a focus on safety, sustainability, and quality.

The role is based anywhere in Europe, with approximately 30% travel within Europe and to other EMEA countries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage complex, cross-functional industrial projects from site selection to design completion, permitting, and contract execution, coordinating with design teams and stakeholders.
• Maintain scope control, drive decision-making, clear blockers, and escalate issues appropriately.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external teams, influence outcomes, and lead negotiations.
• Oversee professional service providers to ensure skill and competency requirements are met.
• Perform pricing reviews, negotiate costs with developers, contractors, and consultants.
• Estimate costs, manage due diligence, schedule tracking, and forecasting to ensure successful project hand-over.
• Supervise the implementation of Amazon's safety standards and standards compliance.
• Negotiate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure project success.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in project management from design through implementation and operation.
• Experience with packaging processing/logistics facilities or similar.
• Fluent in German and English.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% within Europe.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, or business administration.
• Experience in at least two construction disciplines.
• Knowledge of BIM and experience with Amazon's FC launches preferred.
• Additional language skills such as French, Polish, or Arabic are a plus.

A Day in the Life:

You will oversee Amazon's construction projects, ensuring timely and within-budget execution, leading cross-functional teams, and communicating effectively at all levels. Your tasks include site validation, risk analysis, design management, contract negotiations, and stakeholder management. You will act as the primary escalation point and ensure issues are addressed and resolved efficiently.
