Are you eager to be part of a team responsible for developing, designing, and constructing innovative logistics projects across EMEA countries? As a Senior Preconstruction Manager, you will join the Design and Construction team within AMZ Global Engineering Services, shaping the future of the construction industry by delivering high-quality buildings with safety, people, and sustainability at the core.
The role is based anywhere in Europe with 30% travel to various EMEA countries.
Key responsibilities include managing complex projects from site selection to design completion, coordinating with design teams and stakeholders, controlling scope, making timely decisions, overseeing service providers, negotiating costs, estimating budgets, managing schedules, ensuring safety standards, and negotiating with contractors and vendors.
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; solid project management experience; experience in packaging processing/logistics facilities preferred; fluent in German and English; willingness to travel.
Preferred Qualifications: Degree in engineering or related STEM fields; multi-disciplinary construction experience; knowledge of BIM; experience with Amazon FC launches; language skills in French, Polish, Arabic; strong negotiation and communication skills.
A typical day involves overseeing project execution, leading teams, managing contracts, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring compliance with codes and standards. Excellent communication skills for engaging with all levels of management are essential.
