As a Senior Preconstruction Manager within the Design and Construction team (D&C) of AMZ Global Engineering services (GESS), you will help shape the future of the construction industry by delivering high-quality buildings that prioritize safety, people, and sustainability.

The role is based anywhere in Europe, with approximately 30% travel within EMEA countries.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Managing complex, cross-functional industrial projects from site selection through design, permitting, and contract execution.
2. Maintaining scope control, driving decisions, and resolving blockers.
3. Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders to drive results.
4. Overseeing professional service providers to ensure skills meet project needs.
5. Performing pricing reviews and negotiating costs.
6. Estimating costs, managing due diligences, scheduling, and forecasting.
7. Supervising Amazon's safety programs and standards.
8. Negotiating with contractors, vendors, and suppliers.

Basic qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields.
• Proven experience in project management from design to operation.
• Experience in packaging processing/logistics facilities is a plus.
• Fluent in German and English.
• Willingness to travel frequently across Europe.

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor's in engineering, mechanical, supply chain, or business administration.
• Experience in multiple construction disciplines.
• Knowledge of BIM and experience with Amazon FC launches.
• Additional languages such as French, Polish, or Arabic are advantageous.

Each day, you will ensure timely and within-budget project execution, lead cross-functional teams, and communicate effectively with all levels of management. Your tasks will include site validation, due diligence, design management, contract negotiations, and stakeholder management, acting as the primary escalation point for project feasibility and issues.
