Overview

Geographic Information System (GIS) Mapper role at TSMG Holding. The project objective is to collect images of streets, main points of interest and public areas with cars equipped with 360 cameras mounted on top, and store those images on computers inside the vehicle. Later, this data will be used to enhance one of the most popular online maps in the world. Data collectors will be given specific routes around public streets and areas, targeting commercial districts and historical sites. The project is expected to last at least 8 months and will cover different city/state zones. The ideal candidate enjoys driving, knows well the area, traffic trends, is highly responsible and reliable. Schedule is Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week. You can work more than 8 hours if needed.

Responsibilities

• Collect images of streets, main points of interest and public areas.


• Navigate assigned routes around public streets and areas, specifically targeting commercial districts and historical sites.


• Operate vehicles with 360 cameras; images are stored on in-vehicle computers.


• Aim to obtain the best quality imaging; some areas may be visited multiple times due to weather conditions.


• Support data collection that will be used to enhance a major online map.


• Adhere to project schedule (Monday-Friday; 8 hours/day; 40 hours/week; overtime may be available).
