Overview

Geographic Information System (GIS) Mapper role at Terry Soot Management Group (TSMG) is a field data collection position. The project involves collecting images of streets, main points of interest and public areas using vehicles equipped with 360 cameras. Images are stored on onboard computers inside the vehicle and later used to enhance one of the world’s most popular online maps. Data collectors will follow specific routes around public streets and areas, specifically targeting commercial districts and historical sites. Some areas may be visited multiple times to achieve the best image quality due to weather conditions. The project is expected to last at least 8 months and will cover different city/state zones. The ideal candidate enjoys driving, knows the area and traffic trends, and is highly responsible and reliable. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, with potential for additional hours.

Responsibilities

• Drive to assigned routes on public streets and areas for data collection with 360-degree cameras mounted on the vehicle.
• Collect images of streets, main points of interest and public areas as directed.
• Ensure data is stored correctly on onboard computers and prepared for later processing.
• Adhere to the project schedule and adjust to weather-related changes as needed.
