Job Description:

A fast-growing Japanese manufacturer in Almere, The Netherlands, is currently recruiting a General Manager Product Support.

Your role will include providing top quality after-sales product support, initiating leads to the customers for spare parts and services, and focusing primarily on customer (dealer) retention through after-sales product support as well as team management.

The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of experience with construction equipment products.

Business level of English is required for this role.


TYPE: Permanent, full-time

HOURS: 9:00-17:30, Mon to Fri

SALARY: up to €90k, (base salary, depending on experience)

START: ASAP

LOCATION: Almere, The Netherlands


GENERAL MANAGER - PRODUCT SUPPORT RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Be responsible for the day-to-day operation and ensure that all departments operate within the agreed budget and to achieve targets.
  • Manage the product support department's operational systems, processes, and policies in support of the organization's vision.
  • Develop and oversee the overall strategy, annual growth plans, and budgets.
  • Identify and promote the product support strategy and support plan to strengthen dealer support and their brand in the market, driving aftersales target achievement.
  • Strive to achieve the product support objectives and the business's long-term goals.
  • Improve policies to enhance efficiencies and meet international standards.
  • Develop new service packages based on dealer and end-user requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and generate new service business sales through strategic service program development.
  • Resolve critical customer issues using experience and conflict resolution skills to ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze staffing needs for proper planning.
  • Perform additional duties as required to achieve company goals and increase profitability.
  • Contribute to the overall development of the company as a management team member.
  • Other assignments as designated by the MD.
GENERAL MANAGER - PRODUCT SUPPORT REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or engineering field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in construction equipment products.
  • Project management skills.
  • Proficiency in English (speaking, writing, reading).
  • Strong technical knowledge of heavy crawler excavators (hydraulics).
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis on technical issues and resolve conflicts.
  • Excellent communication skills with customers, dealers, internal departments, and colleagues.
  • Strong computer skills.
