Microsoft D365 Finance and Operations Functional Consultant

Position Overview : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Microsoft D365 Finance and Operations Functional Consultant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of financial and operational processes, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a strong customer service orientation.

Key Responsibilities :

Implementation and Configuration :

  • Lead the implementation of D365 Finance and Operations modules.
  • Configure the system to meet the business requirements of the client.
  • Customize workflows, reports, and dashboards as necessary.

Business Process Analysis :

  • Analyze and document business processes and requirements.
  • Identify gaps between the current state and desired state and provide solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope and objectives.

Solution Design :

  • Design end-to-end solutions within D365 Finance and Operations.
  • Ensure the solution design aligns with business needs and best practices.
  • Develop functional specifications for customizations and integrations.

Testing and Quality Assurance :

  • Develop and execute test plans to ensure the quality and functionality of the implemented solutions.
  • Conduct system and user acceptance testing.
  • Identify, document, and resolve issues during testing.

Training and Support :

  • Provide training to end-users on D365 Finance and Operations functionalities.
  • Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting for users post-implementation.
  • Create and maintain user guides and training materials.

Project Management :

  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources.
  • Communicate project status and risks to stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in D365 Finance and Operations.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to optimize system performance.
  • Participate in system upgrades and enhancements.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Functional Consultant with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.
  • Strong understanding of financial processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, budgeting, and fixed assets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations configuration and customization.
  • Experience with data migration, integration, and reporting tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications are highly desirable.

Preferred Skills :

  • Familiarity with other Microsoft Dynamics 365 modules such as Supply Chain Management & Finance
  • Experience with Power BI, Power Apps, and other Microsoft Power Platform tools.
  • Knowledge of ERP implementation methodologies and best practices.
  • Experience in a consulting environment.
  • This position may require occasional travel to client sites.
