As a Fullstack Engineer with backend focus (m/f/d) for our online services, you are involved in all parts of the product life cycle: enjoy working on end-to-end product development, bringing in your backend experience, and helping to improve our frontend applications. We welcome you to join our team in Berlin, Munich, or Paris!

• You drive the development of customer-facing features, from idea to user experience tests and implementation.
• You work as part of a team to implement new software projects in microservices to provide APIs.
• You write well-designed, testable, and efficient code following best software development practices.
• You create web-based user interfaces and tools and contribute to building our mobile frontend tech stack.
• You and your team are responsible for designing scalable mobile web applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and Google Container Engine.

Your fitness level

• You are a professional Software Engineer (m/f/d) with at least 4 years of experience, capable of writing clean and effective code.
• You should be open to writing code in Golang and Java, as we work with both languages.
• You have some frontend development experience (Typescript, React, Ionic is a plus).
• You understand cloud application requirements and have a deep understanding of Event-Driven Architectures, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• You will work with many tools and technologies, although familiarity with all is not required: Java, Spring, Go, Event-Driven Architecture (e.g., Google PubSub), Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, gRPC, GCP, etc.
• You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and revising assumptions based on new information.

Your training goal for your first 6 months

• You take ownership of your work, understand its architecture, and deliver on product requirements and features, while improving testability and functionality.
• You become familiar with the EGYM ecosystem and the roles of different teams in the software engineering department.
• You integrate with the team and company culture.
• You are comfortable working with our codebase.
