Ecosia in Berlin (remote-friendly) is seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer to work on both frontend and backend across the stack. You’ll help build the Climate Impact Experience and the Accounts Platform, collaborating with product, design and data teams to ship features used by millions.

You will own features from design to deployment, ensure security and performance, and contribute to a culture of engineering excellence. Fluency in English and a passion for sustainable tech are valued.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years of experience writing and shipping production-grade JavaScript/TypeScript code.
• 3+ years of experience building and maintaining backend services using Node.js or Go.
• Experience with Vue.js, React, or other similar frontend libraries.

We are looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer with solid frontend and backend experience to join us remotely or in our Berlin office. As we grow, we need your skills to support our mission of building the future of green search.

Day-to-day, you will work across the entire stack - from crafting intuitive user interfaces to building scalable backend services - ensuring our product remains delightful, reliable, and efficient for millions of daily users.

A Role to Help Create Lasting Change

• Develop Core Product Features: Expand our Accounts Platform (user identity and account management) and develop the Climate Impact Experience through engaging, gamified features like seed tracking, levels, and digital collectibles.

• End-to-End Ownership: Architect, build, test, and ship features as part of a cross-functional product team alongside Product, Design, and BI partners.




• Ensure Operational Excellence: Maintain system resilience, security, data privacy, and performance to support our growing user base.




• Elevate Engineering Culture: Promote engineering best practices, share knowledge, and cultivate a collaborative, high-trust engineering environment.

Your Areas of Knowledge and Experience

• 3+ years of experience writing and shipping production-grade JavaScript and TypeScript code.

Where is Ecosia based, and what kind of work setup do we have?

We are a remote-friendly company with one office in Berlin-Wedding. People come to the office or work from home as per their wishes and/or circumstances. Some roles require presence in the office at least from time to time.
