Our Direct-to-Consumer business, which sits at the heart of On is rapidly growing. To support this momentum, we’re looking for a Full Stack Engineer with a backend focus to help scale our global online platform. As an experienced engineer, you will be responsible to build, deploy, test and operate our digital infrastructure. You will implement processes to ensure scalability, maintainability and performance. Based in our Berlin office, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across Berlin, Zurich, and London.

Your mission

– Build and maintain full stack features with a strong backend focus, powering mar-tech tools, personalisation services and on-site experiences.
– Contribute to evolving system architecture with a focus on clean code, modularity, and reusability
– Collaborate with digital marketing and product teams to deliver high-performance, data-driven solutions that scales for millions of users across the globe
– Implement engineering best practices, including code reviews, test-driven development, and CI/CD pipelines
– Evolve the architecture of the system by collaborating with other engineers
– Navigate ambiguity and fast-changing priorities with a pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset

Your story

– Proven experience in developing and operating scalable systems in production
– Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript with a solid understanding of modern development practices
– Hands-on experience with frontend frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular
– Experience with the NodeJs ecosystem, designing and developing APIs. Knowledge of NestJs and GraphQL are a big plus
– Exposure to automated testing, TDD, and performance debugging tools
– Background in e-commerce is preferred; experience with content management systems (CMS) is an advantage
– Experience designing and running A/B tests, and applying experimentation to guide product decisions

You will collaborate with various roles including designers, data analytics, digital marketeers and others
