About This Position

As a Drone UI Full-Stack Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining both the backend and frontend components of our applications. You will work closely with our AI specialists, data scientists, and other developers to create robust, scalable, and high-performance solutions. Your expertise in microservices, single-page applications, and testing will be instrumental in delivering top-quality products.

YOUR TASKS

1. Discuss designs and workflows with UI/UX experts and bring mockups to life, integrating them with real robots.
2. Develop and maintain microservice backend architecture and single-page web applications.
3. Implement and improve testing methodologies, including unit testing, component testing, end-to-end testing, and mocking.
4. Use TypeScript for both front-end and back-end development, maintaining reusable code with React and GraphQL for our robot UI.
5. Collaborate with robotic engineers to visualize 2D, 3D, and semantic data, creating user interfaces for robot control and data management.
6. Apply strong problem-solving skills and work independently or within a team.

YOUR PROFILE

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer, preferably in an AI-focused environment.
• Strong knowledge of microservice architecture and experience with single-page applications.
• Expertise in testing methodologies, including unit, component, end-to-end testing, and mocking.
• Proficiency in TypeScript for front-end and back-end development.
• Ability to design backend architecture following clean code and microservice best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• High proficiency in spoken and written English.

Helpful Additional Qualifications

• Expertise in TypeScript, React, and experience with GraphQL APIs.
• Basic familiarity with Git workflows.
• Experience with WebRTC for video and data transmission.
• Strong knowledge of AI developments, AI training, data selection, and proficiency in Python.
• German language skills and other languages are advantageous.
• Located within ±2 hours of CET, with the ability to travel to Darmstadt twice a month for up to 6 days (travel costs covered).
