Job summary

Deutsche Lufthansa AG in Köln is seeking an experienced software engineer to turn business needs into internal products and tools. You will design, prototype and deliver web applications with polished frontends and robust backends, integrating AI where valuable.

You will build end-to-end features, work with stakeholders, and develop with Vue.js/Nuxt, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Java/Spring Boot, ensuring scalable APIs and enterprise system integration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a track record shipping full-stack products or prototypes.
• Strong frontend engineering skills with Vue.js; practical experience with Nuxt is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Backend and integration experience, including API design, authentication/authorization, data access and integration with enterprise systems. Familiarity with Java and Spring Boot is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype and deliver internal web applications and tools with intuitive frontends that help stakeholders work with data, insights and recommendations.
• Build end-to-end features across frontend, backend and integrations, selecting pragmatic engineering for each use case.
• Integrate Generative AI capabilities into usable internal applications where they add value.
