Vuejobs in Köln is looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join the Commercial Intelligence Value Stream. You will build internal web apps and tools using Vue.js/Nuxt, APIs and AI-enabled capabilities for data-driven decisions.

Job overview

As a Full Stack Engineer in the Commercial Intelligence Value Stream, you will turn business needs and improvement ideas into useful internal products, tools and applications. You will work with business and technical stakeholders to understand how people work today, identify where AI and automation can help, and rapidly deliver solutions that create value.

The potential projects are varied and will evolve over time. It may include web applications, lightweight APIs, decision-support tools, integrations with existing systems, and user interfaces for data or analytical capabilities. The focus is on pragmatic internal solutions that improve efficiency, speed to market and decision quality, rather than on a single predefined product or technology pattern.

You will own work end to end: discovery with users, technical shaping, prototyping, implementation, release, feedback and iteration. Success means shipping useful products quickly, learning from real users and evolving the right solutions while working within Eurowings Digital technology standards.

What you will do

• Work directly with colleagues across relevant business areas to understand workflows, uncover needs and translate loosely defined problems into practical digital solutions.
• Design, prototype and deliver internal web applications and tools, with particular attention to intuitive, polished frontends that help stakeholders work with data, insights and recommendations.
• Build end-to-end features across frontend, backend and integrations, choosing a pragmatic level of engineering for each use case.
• Integrate data, analytical, optimisation and Generative AI capabilities into usable internal applications where they add value.
• Develop modern frontend applications using Vue.js and Nuxt, together with JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Create and consume APIs and connect products to data platforms, enterprise services and, where required, legacy systems.
• Collaborate closely with business and technical specialists, including turning data and analytical capabilities into accessible user interfaces and practical workflows.
• Use AI-assisted software development as a normal part of discovery, implementation, testing and iteration to accelerate delivery without compromising engineering standards.
• Ship small applications, prototypes and incremental improvements quickly; validate them with users and refine based on feedback and measurable value.
• Ensure appropriate quality, security, access control, data handling, maintainability and observability for internal enterprise applications.
• Contribute to technical decisions, reusable patterns and engineering standards across the value stream, and support colleagues through reviews and technical guidance.

What you will need

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong track record of shipping full-stack products or a portfolio of small applications and prototypes.
• Strong frontend engineering skills with Vue.js or similar framework; practical experience with Nuxt is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript, and styling, including the ability to create clear and engaging user experiences for data-heavy applications.
• Backend and integration experience, including API design, authentication and authorisation, data access and integration with enterprise systems. Familiarity with Java and Spring Boot is required.
• Experience with cloud platforms and modern engineering practices such as automated testing, CI/CD, containerisation and production support.
• Practical experience using AI coding tools effectively and responsibly as part of day-to-day software delivery.
• Strong discovery and communication skills. You can work with non-technical stakeholders, ask the questions they may not know to anticipate, clarify constraints and turn needs into a deliverable product.
• Pragmatic judgement that balances speed, user value, quality and long-term maintainability.
• Comfort working in an environment with multiple use cases, changing priorities, incomplete requirements and a mix of modern and legacy systems.

Nice to have

• An agency or consultancy background, with the experience of working closely with internal end users and asking the right questions.
• Experience building applications on or closely integrated with Databricks, or familiarity with its application, data and AI tooling.
• Experience creating user interfaces for data-heavy, analytical or decision-support applications.
• Exposure to agentic AI concepts, LLM application patterns, agent frameworks or protocols such as LangGraph, Pydantic AI or Model Context Protocol (MCP).
• Experience with Operations Research, mathematical optimisation, forecasting or related analytical concepts.
• Experience modernising or replacing off-the-shelf or legacy internal tools through close collaboration with users.
• Knowledge of airline or other data-intensive commercial environments.

We believe in fair and transparent pay. For this position, the annual salary starts at a minimum of €70,000 and depends on your qualifications, experience, and level of responsibility.
