Full Professor of Business Administration with a Focus on Management Accounting (Controlling)

at salary grade W3, starting in the summer semester of 2026. This is a permanent civil service position.

Applicants should demonstrate an excellent academic research record with relevant publications in high-ranking international and national journals, and a committed approach to academic teaching. A distinctive research profile focusing on strategic controlling and value-based management, analyzed from economic, theoretical, and/or empirical perspectives, is expected. The chair will participate in business administration teaching and represent the controlling focus across all business administration degree programs, including the Bayreuth WP option per §13b WPO. Engagement in interdisciplinary research and teaching, academic self-governance, and contributions to the development of study programs are highly desirable. This includes collaboration with the Business Research Centre for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (BF/M) and other institutes or interdisciplinary research units within the faculty, as well as participation in the doctoral program and interdisciplinary teaching, especially in the FACT (Finance, Accounting, Controlling & Taxation) and Management focus areas. Experience in securing external funding would be advantageous.
