Job Description:
We are seeking a Fuel Systems Development Engineer to join our team in Manching. Your responsibilities will include:
- Integration of Fuel Systems and Fire Protection Systems, sub-systems, and equipment into aircraft, ensuring compliance with specifications, qualification, and certification requirements.
- Deriving requirements, defining concepts, system architecture, and developing system and equipment specifications, qualification programs, and supporting certification processes.
- Defining, monitoring, and analyzing ground and flight tests, and preparing certification and clearance documentation.
- Controlling interfaces with other systems and functions, and providing support for system queries, issues, and waivers.
- Solving thermo- and fluid-dynamical as well as mechanical engineering tasks, performing system analyses related to performance, dynamic behavior, operation, and control using numerical simulation tools.
- Providing in-service support for respective systems and equipment, leading defect or problem investigations, and managing modification processes with proper certification documentation.
- Managing technical relationships with system or component manufacturers and suppliers, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Managing Airbus internal interfaces with related departments and functions, monitoring available technologies, and identifying technology gaps.

Qualifications include:
- A Degree in Engineering, preferably a Master's or Diploma in Aerospace Engineering.
- Relevant experience in aerospace, with basic knowledge in Fuel Systems.
- Knowledge of system architectures, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, operational behavior, and control.
- Good understanding of general air vehicle systems and experience in equipment and system engineering.
- Proficiency with MS Office tools, especially Doors and its functions.
- Ideally, experience with numerical system modeling and simulation tools (e.g., Star CCM+, Simcenter Amesim, Flowmaster, CATIA), and familiarity with aerospace development, qualification, and certification processes.
- Willingness to travel worldwide.
- Proficiency in German and English languages.
