Job Description:

This role is for individuals eager to innovate and push boundaries.

We are creating a new type of tour—immersive explorations powered by location-based augmented reality that are social, fun, and educational. At ZAUBAR, we're bringing the metaverse to the streets!

Currently, we're partnering with Germany's prominent cultural institutions, media outlets, tour operators, and brands to realize immersive tours.

Soon, we'll enable anyone to create, distribute, and monetize these immersive experiences.

Our founders and team possess extensive backgrounds in AI, 3D UI, and journalism.

We seek a seasoned game developer with experience shipping multiple Unity games or interactive applications.

You will enjoy solving complex device and platform issues, applying your technical expertise.

You will collaborate effectively with others, providing technical insights on various issues.

As part of a small, agile team, you'll be responsible for development, testing, and maintaining code quality.

This role demands high ownership of your work and close collaboration with the team.

You will work with creative and product teams to plan new features and prioritize tasks.

Tasks

• Design and implement the architecture of a platform for creators and consumers
• Develop various gameplay mechanics and client/server components
• Optimize performance for mobile devices (iOS, Android, AR Glasses)
• Establish in-house pipelines to enhance output in code, artwork, and QA
• Review pull requests and contribute to team growth
• Communicate openly with engineers, designers, and management
• Stay proactive in learning about augmented reality development
• Mentor new developers as part of the team
• Create engaging experiences that users want

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in high-level programming languages
• 3+ years experience with Unity or similar game engines, with multiple shipped products
• Strong understanding of real-time performance
• Shader knowledge is a plus
