To complete our international team, we are looking for a motivated English or German speaking sciences teacher for physics to teach our students in Years 7 to 13 with a focus on our upper secondary level, starting now on a part-time or full-time basis, depending on the subject combination.

What you should bring:

Qualifications and Experience

• A second state examination for teaching at secondary levels I and II (Sekundarstufe I and II) or a teaching qualification recognized as equivalent in Berlin (e.g., first state examination, Master of Education, or a university degree at the master’s level in the relevant subject).
• For lateral entry applications or applicants with foreign qualifications: a minimum of 2 to 3 years of school teaching experience.
• Familiarity with the Berlin curriculum or the (i)GCSE/A-Levels.

Language Requirements

For teachers working in English:

• Native-level proficiency in English or proof of passing a language test at C1 level with a "very good" grade.
• Basic German language skills at the start of employment and a willingness to acquire German skills at B2 level within the first year to actively engage in communication within our bilingual school community.

For teachers working in German:

• Native-level proficiency in German or proof of passing a language test at C1 level with a "very good" grade.
• Good English skills to ensure smooth communication within our bilingual school community.
