As our freelance Brazilian Portuguese translator, you will be responsible for localizing and editing all Brazilian Portuguese copy at flowkey. Working closely with a translation partner, you will translate various types of content from different teams such as course content, marketing, messaging, and product. You will see the immediate impact of your work on our app and website and help us communicate with our users in a consistent, engaging brand voice.

• Translate, proofread, and provide feedback on UX/UI copy for our app
• Translate piano course content into Brazilian Portuguese
• Localize copy for our ads (Meta, TikTok, YouTube)
• Translate emails and help us connect with users in the Brazilian market
• Localize long-form copy and articles for our online magazine

Essential:

• Native-level proficiency in Brazilian Portuguese with excellent writing skills
• Deep cultural understanding of the Brazilian market
• Advanced proficiency in English
• Proficiency in European Portuguese
• Experience translating online content (e.g., social media, blogs, articles)
• Familiarity with translation management tools
• Basic understanding of music theory
• Passion for music

Bonus points:

• Cultural understanding of the Portuguese market
• Experience with Phrase TMS and Phrase Strings
• Experience writing UX/UI copy
• Solid understanding of SEO
• Basic piano-playing skills
• German language proficiency
