Freelance HR Manager- Pharmaceuticals - 12-Month Contract - Berlin

A global pharmaceutical company requires an experienced HR Manager to lead the function on a major project.

The HR Manager will oversee the HR function for a large capital investment programme throughout the entire project lifecycle into operations on a freelance basis.

Responsibilities:
  • Create true synergies to facilitate the achievement of business objectives.
  • Report to the Senior Project Director and serve as a consultant to management. Assess human resources needs and develop integrated solutions.
  • Develop and implement onboarding strategies and processes in collaboration with management.
  • Represent the company culture and values.
  • Support relationships with resource providers.
  • Provide day-to-day HR services to employees and business leaders.
  • Lead and participate in HR projects with colleagues in Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, and administration.
  • Act as HR specialist in business projects, implementing local and international HR initiatives to support the HR strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with social legislation by maintaining knowledge of legal requirements, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Support and guide management in process implementation.
  • Partner with internal and external teams to fill vacancies promptly and coordinate recruitment as per Project Director needs.
Requirements:
  • Master’s degree in human resources or equivalent experience.
  • Experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
  • Knowledge of various HR disciplines including compensation, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and employment laws.
  • Relevant industry experience, e.g., pharmaceutical or similar.
  • Experience supporting new site setup and hiring.
  • Strong knowledge of social legislation.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong people management skills.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
