Naxon Robotics is building an end-to-end platform to control swarms of robots—backend, frontend, cloud, data and operator tools. You own the architecture from design to deployment, delivering the real-time, reliable systems that run at customer sites.

Based in Munich, this on-site role requires fluent English and German, offers 70k–100k EUR yearly with equity, travel across Germany and Europe, and a path to lead the platform as the founding team member.

Qualifikationen

• MSc plus 2–4 years in industry with hands-on robotics and AI experience.
• Strong backend and frontend capabilities across cloud and edge systems.
• Experience with real robots at customer sites is a plus.

Naxon Robotics deploys swarms of mobile robots, quadrupeds, wheeled robots and drones, for security and industrial inspection. The fleet patrols perimeters, detects anomalies and inspects assets as one coordinated system, covering more ground 24/7, delivering more value and reaching ROI faster than a single robot or a fleet of disconnected ones.

Why now: rising threats to critical infrastructure, too few people in security and industry, cheap and reliable hardware and fast moving AI agents. Hardware is ready. Deployment is not. Every new site is still a months-long expert project, so pilots rarely turn into rollouts. We make deployment repeatable, with swarms and an agentic platform that learns from each site.

Backed by EWOR, TUM VLABs and a robotics founder who built and exited a drone swarm company. Mentored by unicorn founders and Prof. Johannes Betz (autonomous driving and robotics, TUM).

You own NaxonOS, everything above the robot. First the platform: backend, frontend, robot to cloud, data and video, and the operator experience, on an architecture that holds as the fleet grows.

Then the agentic layer on top: customers talk to the fleet in text or voice and run deployments themselves, and internal agents help our engineers so no one solves the same problem twice.

• Build the platform end-to-end: backend services, APIs, frontend, cloud infrastructure
• Build robot to cloud: telemetry, events, live and recorded video, commands, over patchy site networks
• Build the operator experience: live fleet map, patrol review, alarm verification, escalation
• Customer-facing agents for text and voice control and self-service
• Internal agents on top of the platform data, so a fix at one site becomes automatic at the next
• Has built and run a product in production with real users
• Strong backend (Python, Go or TypeScript) and solid frontend (React, TypeScript)
• Can design a system and its architecture, not just add endpoints to one
• Real time data and cloud: streaming, queues, databases, deployment and monitoring
• MSc plus 2 to 4 years in industry, or equivalent proven experience, and a heavy user of AI coding agents
• The challenge: build a platform that manages swarms of different robots, task allocation across a live site, and an edge/cloud split over networks that drop
• Full ownership of your area, from architecture to what runs at the customer, and a clear path into leading it
• Real robots at real customer sites, from research to working reliably in real world conditions
• Hands-on work with cutting-edge robotics, hardware and AI

LLM and agent systems beyond a demo (tool use, RAG, voice), live video (WebRTC), IoT and real-time protocols (MQTT, gRPC), robotics or ROS2 exposure, enterprise security and on‑premises deployments.
