Turn this role into an interview — a resume and cover letter built around what this employer wants.
Naxon Robotics is seeking a Field Robotics Engineer to own the autonomy stack deployed at customer sites. You will advance SLAM, localisation and navigation across quadrupeds, wheeled robots and drones, bringing the stack from lab to production in real-world conditions.
You will test on real robots, calibrate sensors (lidar, depth, RGB, IMU, GNSS) and extend multi-robot coordination. The role requires a MSc/PhD with 2–4 years in industry, or equivalent experience, and on-site work in Munich.
Naxon Robotics deploys swarms of mobile robots, quadrupeds, wheeled robots and drones, for security and industrial inspection. The fleet patrols perimeters, detects anomalies and inspects assets as one coordinated system, covering more ground 24/7, delivering more value and reaching ROI faster than a single robot or a fleet of disconnected ones.
Why now: rising threats to critical infrastructure, too few people in security and industry, cheap and reliable hardware and fast moving AI agents. Hardware is ready. Deployment is not. Every new site is still a months-long expert project, so pilots rarely turn into rollouts. We make deployment repeatable, with swarms and an agentic platform that learns from each site.
Backed by EWOR, TUM VLABs and a robotics founder who built and exited a drone swarm company. Mentored by unicorn founders and Prof. Johannes Betz (autonomous driving and robotics, TUM).
You own the autonomy stack every robot in our fleet runs on: SLAM, localisation and navigation, indoors and outdoors, across quadrupeds, wheeled robots and drones. You take it from the lab to production at customer sites and keep it robust there. As the fleet grows, you grow the stack into multi robot coordination. This is the core the whole company scales on. You own the stack. The Field Robotics Engineer owns what runs at the customer.
Multi robot coordination: shared maps, task allocation, dispatch, charging rotation, fleet management, swarm or formation control. Also perception and computer vision, learning-based SLAM and localisation, simulation.
