Zusammenfassung

VoiceLine in Munich seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to bridge product requirements and technical execution. You will translate customer needs into robust integration solutions, design architectures, and implement end-to-end deployments with a focus on reliability and performance.

Aufgaben

• Implement end-to-end integrations: scoping, design, implementation, testing, deployment and monitoring.
• Develop interfaces and APIs: connect CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce, SAP, Dynamics) and adjacent systems.
• Support security & compliance: respond to security questionnaires, data flow diagrams, DPIAs/DPAs, encryption, EU data residency and ISO 27001.
• Configure network and infrastructure: VPNs, private links, IP whitelisting, OAuth/OIDC, SAML, secrets management.
• Documentation & handover: technical docs and runbooks for customers and internal teams.
• Go-lives & hypercare: provide technical support for pilots and rollouts, early monitoring.
• Interdisciplinary collaboration: align with Solutions Architects, sales, customer success, product and dev teams.
• Stakeholder management: engage with technical counterparts and iterate on solution engineering.
• Feedback to product: derive reusable modules and platform features from recurring patterns.

Your Mission

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you are the technical interface between our product and the business requirements our Solutions Architects have already scoped with the customer. You translate these into a technical solution, evaluate them architecturally and ultimately implement them yourself, from architecture and integration design to implementation and productive operation.

In addition, you are the technical contact person for our customers in all matters relating to IT security, infrastructure, and data governance whilst working closely with our product, platform, and customer success teams.

This is not a project management role. It is a hands-on engineering job where you build, operate, and ensure that our integrations run reliably and scalably. You develop the tools and product features to offload work to customers or AI agents.

Your Tasks

• Implement end-to-end integrations: technical scoping, solution design, implementation, testing, deployment and monitoring.
• Develop interfaces & APIs: Connect CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce, SAP, Dynamics) and adjacent systems (SSO/IdP, data lakes, ticketing, messaging).
• Support security & compliance: Respond to security questionnaires, create data flow diagrams, assist with DPIAs/DPAs, and ensure compliance with encryption, data residency (EU) and ISO 27001 processes.
• Configure network & infrastructure: Secure connectivity (VPNs, private links, IP whitelisting), authentication (OAuth/OIDC, SAML), secrets management.
• Documentation & handover: Technical documentation and runbooks for customers & internal teams.
• Go-lives & hypercare: Technical support for pilots and rollouts, early monitoring and rapid problem solving.
• Interdisciplinary collaboration: You pick up the validated business requirements from our Solutions Architects, whom you keep updated on technical progress and any deviations during the PoC. You also work closely with sales, project management, customer success, product and the rest of the development team to ensure the technical implementation of projects.
• Stakeholder management: you engage with technical counterparts and iterate on solution engineering
• Feedback back into the product: Recognising recurring patterns and turning them into reusable modules or platform features.

Your Profile

• Hands-on engineer: You have experience in developing integrations or backend systems and enjoy solving technical problems directly.
• Systemic thinking: You understand complex data and process flows and can design robust, observable systems.
• API and integration know-how: You are familiar with REST/GraphQL, webhooks, authentication methods (OAuth2/OIDC/SAML) and schema/versioning strategies.
• Security mindset: You are familiar with encryption, identity & access management, key management, and secure development processes.
• Strong communication skills: You can present technical decisions in a way that is understandable to both developers and non-technical stakeholders.
• Languages: Fluent in German and English
