Jobtailor is seeking a Forward-Deployed Engineer to lead end-to-end AI solutions in enterprise settings in Germany. You will architect, implement, and operate LLM-based systems, RAG pipelines, and agentic workflows directly with clients and executives.

The role requires hands-on Python production experience and deep architectural judgment. You will collaborate in highly regulated environments, travel on-site to client locations, and shape the engineering team’s practices.

Qualifikationen

• Own the architecture and technical delivery of AI solutions end to end, from strategy through production.

• Use agentic coding tools to build solutions, accelerate code reviews, and create deployment pipelines.
• Contribute from the initial idea through production, including strategic and commercial aspects.
• Drive solutions through launch and measurable business impact without handing off responsibility.
• Own and defend technical decisions directly with client and management executives.
• Work on AI initiatives for DAX and Fortune Global 500 clients.
• Help shape the new Forward-Deployed Engineer team and its ways of working.

Requirements

• Proven track record of taking LLM-based systems into production
• Ideally experience in a Forward-Deployed Engineer or Founding Engineer role
• Excellent production-grade Python skills
• Experience with FastAPI, containers, Git, and CI/CD
• Deep understanding of agentic architectures, retrieval methods, and function calling
• Experience using agentic coding tools as a core engineering workflow, including building deployment pipelines
• Experience personally owning and defending technical decisions in front of senior executives
• Ability to understand and operate effectively in new and highly regulated environments
• German at C1 level or above
• Full professional proficiency in English
• Willingness to work regularly on-site with clients
• Completed degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable field (Bachelor’s degree or higher)
