As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will own components end-to-end, build data pipelines on Salesforce Data 360, and travel to customer sites

Qualifikationen

• Hands-on experience with LLMs and prompt engineering; diagnose failures and iterate.

• Collaborate with sales teams and customer architects; ship high-quality code.
• Comfortable experimenting with emerging AI tools and frameworks.

Role

Forward Deployed Engineers at Salesforce design, build, and deploy agentic AI solutions directly inside enterprise customer environments. You will deliver production systems that integrate with customer data platforms, ship observable and validated components, and collaborate with a Deployment Strategist to drive adoption and measurable business impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Design agent intelligence: prompts, reasoning, tool calls, and integration with customer systems using the Agentic AI platform and modern LLM techniques.
• Own technical components end-to-end from architecture choice to deployed and observable production systems.
• Build and integrate data pipelines on Salesforce Data 360 and cloud data platforms; model data, ship pipelines, and validate outputs.
• Build and maintain agent performance dashboards and customer KPI reporting to monitor deployment health and outcomes.
• Contribute to proofs-of-concept and MVPs that can move from sketch to deployable in days.
• Co-build with customers and partners, share best practices, and enable customer teams.
• Surface platform gaps and field insights to product and engineering teams.
• Work closely with sales teams and customer architects and travel to customer sites as required (~25% travel).

Requirements

• 3+ years of software engineering or technical delivery experience with production systems.
• Prior customer-facing technical delivery experience (consulting, professional services, or forward deployed engineering) - required.
• Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and prompt engineering; able to diagnose prompt failures and iterate.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, APIs, and integration patterns.
• Ability to collaborate with sales teams and customer architects and to ship high-quality code with engineering rigor.
• Comfortable experimenting with emerging AI tools, models, and frameworks.

Nice-to-Haves

• Salesforce platform experience or certifications (Administrator, Platform Developer I, Agentforce Specialist).
• Familiarity with agent frameworks and orchestration patterns (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex).
• Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery).
• Experience across specialist AI delivery areas such as data engineering, platform architecture, or headless deployments.
