Responsibilities

• Develop customized AI applications with a focus on generative and agentic AI
• Evaluate model quality in terms of accuracy, robustness, and fairness
• Ensure compliance with ethical and regulatory requirements
• Deliver applications with demanding performance, security, and stability requirements in collaboration with developers and Quality Engineers
• Implement RAG applications and use agentic frameworks
• Support the DevOps team with LLMOps best practices, including prompt monitoring and tracing
• Develop security concepts for LLMs
• Select and architecturally evaluate prebuilt AI systems, taking cost, latency, and scalability into account
• Generate evaluation datasets and implement industry standards in the field of AI
• Screen new AI solutions on the market and assess their potential

Requirements

• Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, or Physics, together with several years of relevant professional experience, or an equivalent qualification
• Experience leading cross-functional projects or workstreams
• Experience developing AI applications
• Strong Python skills, particularly with GenAI and agentic AI tools such as LlamaIndex and LangChain/LangGraph
• Experience developing container-based and cloud solutions
• Experience working in regulated environments; knowledge of BAIT, DORA, or ISO 27001 is a plus
• Fluent German, at least C1 level
• Good English, B2 level
• Self-motivated, collaborative, and comfortable working in an agile environment
• Enthusiasm for developing AI solutions in interdisciplinary environments and sharing knowledge
