Job summary

Producers Rice Mill in Germany is seeking a safety-sensitive forklift operator responsible for handling packaged product and ensuring traceability. The role involves operating a forklift, inspecting carriers for safety and cleanliness, and maintaining product quality throughout loading and movement.

You will also use scan guns to maintain inventory, stack and wrap packages, and keep sanitation records. Adherence to PPE and safety rules is required; overtime may be needed including weekends.

Qualifications

• Must possess basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide).
• Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English.
• Must be willing to climb up to 4 feet.
• Must be willing to lift up to 110 pounds.
• Must be willing to bend, stoop, push, pull, twist, and turn throughout the day.
• Must be willing to work in hot and cold temperatures for periods of time.
• Must have prior forklift experience.
• Must be willing to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
• Must be willing and able to follow all safety and food safety rules.

Job Summary: Operate forklift to lift and take down packaged product on slip sheets and/or pallets. Inspect carriers (trucks, boxcars) to ensure the carrier is safe, clean and does not compromise product quality and/or safety. responsible for operating scan guns to maintain product traceability and inventory control. Maintaining quality product before, during and after loading. Manually stacking and wrapping packaged product. Responsible for completing and maintaining inspection of forklift (checking hoses, working condition, etc. daily), electronic scanning of product, and sanitation records.
